# ARK tool data attribution

Interactive map data, terrain sources, and Leaflet credits are documented in
[the map attribution notice](maps/ATTRIBUTION.md). Each map dataset includes its
own source pages and revisions.

Crafting recipes, ingredient names, item metadata, and cloning coefficients in
`crafting-data.json` and `cloning-data.json` are adapted from the
[ARK Official Community Wiki](https://ark.wiki.gg/) and its contributors:

- [Crafting category](https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Category:Crafting)
- [Cloning Chamber and embedded calculator](https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Cloning_Chamber)
- [Wiki copyright policy](https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/ARK_Wiki:Copyrights)

Wiki content that the contributors may license is available under
[Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/).
These adapted data files are distributed under the same license. This notice
applies to the wiki-derived data, independently of the application's code license.
Game content and images remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Locally hosted item and creature thumbnails have a separate
[artwork notice and per-file source manifest](icons/ATTRIBUTION.md).

Changes: infobox recipes and calculator coefficients are extracted, normalized
into JSON, and used in quantity, inventory, and batch calculations. Each refreshed
recipe records its wiki page URL, page revision, and fetch time. Top-level metadata
records the refresh coverage. Failed recipe parses preserve previous records
without assigning them a new verification date. The cloning metadata records the
source page revision and the upstream calculator's game data version; a recent
fetch date does not imply that all ASA creatures have published coefficients.

Reproduce the refresh with `npm run data:update:ark`. Rebuild the Nuxt website to
include new data in a production deployment.
